"Why I Hate Wikipedia"

From Labyrinth13's Blog: "For the past couple of years, I spent a considerable amount of time editing various entries over on the Wikipedia website. But due to a series of highly frustrating and damn near maddening events, I have finally decided to leave that place for good.
What I have discovered via way too many negative experiences over there is that virtually all of a person's work on any given entry can and will be challenged - often within mere seconds - by organized gangs of overly-zealous, self-appointed "experts" who have little real interest in actual editing other than seizing it as an opportunity to throw their weight around as self-appointed guardians of the "Wikipedia way." And these same people will usually stick to their guns even when somebody proves that they are dead wrong." WP Gangs
